About
Much of East Peak Bouldering is undocumented, but has been climbed. Not all though, with some first ascents in the past years. Grades range from v0-v12. With a high concentration of moderates. Two main boulder fields are on the map, but there are more boulders scattered throughout the park. Like near the top near castle crag and along the spree field alongside the reservoir.

Directions/Parking for Boulder Field 1
You can park at the small pull off (about 4 cars) on West Main Street across from Belmont Ave/West Main Street intersection. Walk in on the blue trail and cross the footbridge over 691. Look for a faint climbers trail on your right hand side. If you get to a cliff band, you have passed the path. Follow the faint path until you reach the boulder field. Some bushwacking may be involved.
If the small pull off is full you can park in the main parking loop area and hike in via the blue trail

Park in the main parking area and walk in on the road towards Merimere Reservoir. At the reservoir take the blue trail on your left. Follow this until it makes a big bend left. Look for a faint climber’s trail on your right. Follow this and take a left before the rock spree field (where you’d continue up to the cliff for ropes). The boulders are scattered amongst here.
